(Received August 30, at 10 p.m.) The philosophical faculty of the Budapest University has bestowed thd degree of doctor on the famous clown, Crock. Twenty years ago Crock, whose real name is Adrian Wettach, was tutor to the family of Count Bethleu, the present Hungarian 'Premier. He has enjoyed tremendous popularity since the war in Britain and America, and i s regarded as the greatest down in the world. He is a clever musician and an astute business man. He refuses to revisit England owing to income tax reductions from his princely salary. Hitherto France was the only country to honour clowns.—United Service.
