FISH’S THREE HEARTS.
" A fish with three hearts and the most r uncanny sense of seeing through bund 1 eyes has been discovered in the waters ot 0 Monterey Bay, California. Although only two feet in length and : > apparently ouite blind, this fish is so e voracious that it reigns in a world ox 4 its own. Specimens have been caught and placed in a large glass tank, and, although they cannot see, they possess some ; weird sense enabling them to tell in--3 stantly if another fish or food is placed in the tank. They dart towards it with lightning rapiditv, and attack so ferociously that their prey is instantly killed. Apparently, also, the fish has the sense to g j know the weakest spot of any victim, irred spective oi its size. e Scientists have failed t" trace any - organs which would account for these e strange senses. It was. however, aseevt, tained that the strange blind _ creature v has three hearts, one of which is in noin mal position, one near the tail, and one >- operating a portal system of veins.
