WIRELESS ON STEAMERS
NEW CODE BEING ADOPTED. CALL FOR MEDICAL AID. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 26. (Received July 27, at 10 p.m.) A new wireless code is being adopted bj several transatlantic steamers, and it is hoped that it will later be adopted throughout the world in order to secure medical aid where ship is without a doctor. For example, the code “ Maham Mahad ” means that a male passenger had difficulty in breathing.—Australian Press Association.
