THE SOUTH AFRICAN TEST MATCHES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —Will you say if it is possible to hear the South African test matches on the wireless? Before the All Blacks left for Africa several of their number said that arrangements had been made for broadcasting an account of the tests, and that certain of their number had promised to do the announcing. Their opinion was that the account would come to Australia, and be broadcast from there. I heard that there had been a hitch in the business arangements. If so, the public M* entitled to hear what it if all about. Many local people would be willing to sit up to hear a report of a test match, and, if necessary, could pay a small charge for the privilege, the receipts to go to some charitable object. Can the broadcasting stations throw any light on the position? This much is certain, that the All Blacks believe we are hearing of the tests on the -wireless. —I am, etc.. Reader. [There are technical difficulties about the receipt of wireless messages from South Africa. It might be possible to have messages relayed from South Australia, but South Australia is not interested in the results of Rugby football matches.—Ed. OJD.T.]
