CONFESSION TO THE POLICE. " KILL JFF. I DESERVE IT.” (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) PARIS, July 1. The police at Algiers lengthily questioned Jerome Prat, who, eventually breaking down, cried: “I am a lost man. Kill me. I deserve it.” Prat had 3 motor car. which the police connect with an Algerian chauffeur who was found murdered in the desert, with his body burned. It is thought that Prat hired the car to perpetrate another terrible crime, and in order to gain possession of it murdered the driver. A search of Prat's luggage revealed several women’s handkerchiefs, notes to the value of £25, a woman’s gold watch, and a cheque to the value of £175, payable to Mile Edel. one of the murdered women.—Australian Press Association.
