EUCHRE TOURNAMENTS.

CONVICTIONS ON WEST COAST. (Prr United . Pnf.ss Association.) GREYMOUTH, July 2. Two members ’of the Blakelown Citizens’ Committee were convicted without penalty on a charge of keeping a 'common gaming house. Euchre tournaments were conducted to help to pay for the hall, and two-thirds of the takings had been given as prizes. The magistrate, Mr W. Mcldrum, said the Act made no distinction between tournaments run for public or private purposes.
