GISBORNE SITTINGS. (Pke United Press Association.) GISBORNE, June 12. The Supreme Court opened its sittings this morning before Mr Justice Ostler Peter Elder Ramsay (burglary) was admitted to probation for two years. Moetu Haua, aged 23 (carnal knowledge)' was sentenced to 18 months’ reformative detention. Warihi Waihi, -a Maori farmer, of Whennakura, was found guilty of the theft of 1831 b of rvool, belonging to a neighbour, and was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment, with hard labour.
