An Australian and New Zealand team of bowlers, organised locally, under the leadership of Mr Wall, ex-president of the New South Wales Association, commenced a tour of Warwickshire. They played at Nuneaton, where they were beaten by 121 to 115. The visiting skips’ rinks scores were: Wall (Marrickville), 18 —17; Cartell (Chatswood), IG—27; Hill (Marrickville), 22—11; Copeland (Warringah), 20—23; Barlow (Canterbury, New Zealand), 20 —20; Johnston (Hobart), 20 —23.—Australian Press Association. NEWCASTLE, June 11. Robert Miller, aged 24, Irish lightweight champion, collapsed at the Stadium during a 20-round contest with Art Green, a local boxer. SYDNEY, June 10. In the steeplechase, the results were as follow: —Greyfriar (10.2 1, Perpetual (9.9) 2, Chandohia (9.9) 3. Ten started. Greyfriar established a lead over the first treble jumps, and 'maintained the advantage throughout, winning by six lengths. Mendit followed Greyfriar in the early part of the race, but fell. Chandonia was six lengths behind Perpetual, and Namcra was fourth. Time, 6min 28scc. GOLF. CHAMPIONSHIP FOURSOME. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, June 9. In the New South Wales golf championship foursomes’ final, Nigel Smith and Hector Morrission beat P. S. Jones and H. W. M'Lelland one stroke, 78 —79. MOTOR CYCLE RACING. WON BY SUNBEAM MACHINE. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY, June 8. C. J. Dobson, of Manchester, riding a Sunbeam machine, won the Senior Tourist Trophy for motor cycles in the Isle of Man. The race was for 5 h.p. motor cycles, and the distance 264 miles. Dobsoo’s time was 4hr 11 min 40aec, and his average speed was 62.98 miles an hour. . Rain and mist were against record breaking. Last year the average speed of the winner was nearly 68.5 miles an hour. , • j Rowley, riding an A.J.S., was second, and Hatch, riding a Scott, was third.
