GOOD TEMPLARY.

NEW LODGE AND TEMPLE. For some months the lodges and juvenile temples in connection with the International Order of Good Templars have been steadily increasing, and on Saturday evening, at Waitati, another juvenile temple and adult lodge were added to the number. For the past few months solid canvassing has been conducted by Miss Wilkinson, an old member of the Order, with the result that applications for charters were received by the G'/md Chief Templar, Bro. Dalton. On Satuday evening a large number of members of the Rescue Lodge, No. 105 Sovfh Dunedin, and All Nations Lodge, No. 13, Port Chalmers, travelled to Waitati to assist in the institution of the lodge and temple. Bro. T. Dalton, G.C.T., and Bro. J. Hilton, S.J.W., of the Star of the South aud Ever Hopeful Juvenile Temples, conducted the initiation of 15 young people as Juvenile Templars, after which the election of officers took place, the following being elected :—Chief Templar, Sister Lena King; Vice-Templar. Sister Eunice Ross; secretary, Sister M. Townsend; financial secretary. Sister L. Ross; treasurer, Sister P. Edwards; marshal, Bro. A. Townsend ; guard, Bro. E. Townsend ; sentinel, Sister Edna Don. Bro. Jarvis was appointed to art as Past Chief Templar. Thirteen friends were initiated for the adult lodge, members from Dunedin and Port Chalmers occupying the chairs, and Bro. Dalton, G.C.T., presiding. The election and installation was conducted by Bro. Dalton, assisted by Bro. W. D. Campbell, Port Chalmeis, and Sister Mrs' Duncan, Dunedin, the following being the list of officers; —Chief Templar, Bro. Robertson; Vice-Templar, Sister Wilkinson; secretary, Sister Beazlcy; treasurer, Bro. Long; financial secretary, Sister Long!; chaplain, Sister Tiltman; marshal, Bro. Wilkinson, jun.; guard, Bro. Beazlcy: sentinel. Bro. Brooks; pianist. Sister Callum; S.J.W., Sister Wilkinson ; P.C.TO., Bro. Wilkinson. Sister Edwards was recommended for the position of Lodge Deputy, and Bro. Robertson for Superintendent of Legislative Work. The institution of the lodge was conducted by Bro. Dalton, G.C.T., after which greetings were read from the Grand Lodge executive and the Advisory Board, Wellington, District Lodge, Grand Superintendent of Juvenile Work, Loyal Melrose Lodge, and St. Thomas’s Juvenile Temple, Wellington. Bro, W. D. Campbell, C.T., of All Nations Lodge, and Bro. W.' E. O’Neill, C.T., of Rescue Lodge, also expressed their pleasure in being present, and conveyed greetings from their respective lodges. A vote of thanks was passed to Sister Wilkinson for the splendid work done in connection with the opening of the lodge and temple.
