SUNDAY SERVICES.

At First Church Dr Herrington will preach in the morning on “ The Empty House,” and at night on “ The Recognition.” Dr V. E. Galway will preside at the organ. A chrysanthemum flower service will be held in the morning at the Caversham Presbyterian Church. The flowers arc for the old folk at the Benevolent Home. The third o'f the musical services at Cargill Road Methodist Church will be held at 0.30 p.m. to-morrow. The Protestant Alliance and kindred lodges will attend the service. Miss K. Wilkie and Mr F. Tuohy will be the soloists, and the Rev. W. B. Scott will conduct the service. At Knox Church to-morrow the Rev. Tulloch Yuille will preach in the morning on “Make the Tree Good,” and in the evening on “ The Day of Good Nows.” At 8 p.m. his after-church lecture will be on “ Religion Since the War in Czecho-Slovakia and AustriaHungary.” ' The Rev. W. H. Hocking will conduct the morning worship at Dundas Sreet Methodist Church to-morrow, and will' preach on “ The Invisible Strategy.” The evening service will take the form of a Bible class rally, when Mr S. G. MacFarlane, M.A., will preach on “Today’s Challenge to Youth.” Messrs A. and M. Young will render a duet, and the choir will render the anthem “ Sweet is Thy Mercy,” Mrs A. Burton being the soloist. At the United Congregational Church the Rev. C. Maitland Elliss will be the preacher morning and evening, his. subjects being “ He Ascended Into Heaven ” and “I Am The Truth.” Miss Mavis Johnston will be the evening soloist. The Rev. E. S. Tuckwcll, 8.A., will preach in the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow evening on “ The Fearless Life” and in the evening on “ Not This Man But Barabbas.” The annual church social will be held on Tuesday. Young people’s day will be observed at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow, the Rev.- H. E, Bell‘housc conducting a children’s service in the morning, and preaching to young men and women in the evening on “ The Opportunities of Life.” Miss Phyllis West will sing. The Rev. W. Walker will conduct both services in the Central Mission Octagon Hall to-morrow. In the evening the discourse will be on the question raised by Sir Arthur Keith and others, “ Does Life Continue After Death.” An open discussion on this vital subject will follow in the Slade Hall. Miss Ruby Baxter will render “ O Divine Redeemer.” At the Salvation Army Fort .-ess, Dowling street, the Silver Band will render numbers at all the service! At 3 p.m. a programme of the " atest numbers will be presented. The evening service will also have the band in attendance. In the morning the band will play in the vicinity of Arthur street.
