DRUIDISM.

The regular meeting of Otago Lodge •was held in the lodge room, Rattray street, on Monday, A.D. Bro. Kilgour presiding. The inclement nature of the weather was responsible for a email at* tendance of members and friends, but nevertheless • the “ wives and sweethearts’ ” night as set down on the syllabus was carried through well by all concerned. Two candidates were initiated by A.D. Bro. Kilgour and his officers. The delegate from the lodge to the Ball Committee for this year will be Bra, Duckworth. A suitable programme for the occasion was presented by Mr F. C. Cooper, singing teacher, and his pupils, as follows: —Misses Parker, Bcws, and Clare, and Messrs Calvert, Hawes, and Parker. The thanks of the lodge are duo to Mr Cooper for the excellent programme given. Progress Juvenile Lodge held its »eei> ing on Wednesday night, A.D. Bro. Maybee in the chair. There was a good attendance of members. Four now members were initiated into the Order. GJP. Bro. Walker was a welcome visitor, and. offered to present a fountain pen to the member giving the best rendering of Thomas Bracken’s poem, “ Dunedin from the Hill.” The competition will bo carried out in about a month’s time* The boys were also entertained to a wireless concert, which proved a success.
