SWIMMING IN NEW SOUTH WALES

(By Electric Tnlegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 14. (Received April 15, at 5.5 p.m.) The ladies' swimming season has closed. Edna Davey and Bonnie Mealing, Olympic champions, created new Australian records. The former did 220 yards in 2mm 48 l-ssec, while Miss Mealing did 160 yards backstroke in Imin 17 4-ssec, the last 50 yards being unpaced.—Australian Press'Association.

NEW SOUTH WALES CRICKET.

SYDNEY, April 14. ■ At the yearling sales 148 lots realised 23,140gn5. On account of Mr lan Duncan, of New Zealand, a Leighton—Glad Rags colt fetched 130gns, and a Paper Money—Sunglow filly 410gns. On account of Mr Ernest Allison of New Zealand, a Tea Tray—Lady Elysian colt brought 120gns.
