VALUE OF TRADE TREATIES. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, April 13. In denouncing certain Canadian public men for criticising the Australian treaties, the chairman (Mr Tomlin) at the annual meeting of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Manufactures’ Association, said that the association favoured the pact as well as negotiations for similar treaties in other parts of the Empire wherever possible. He declared: “There must be a spirit of give and take if Empire trade is to be built up.”—Australian Press Association.
