The Kaikorai, after loading a consignment of wool, left Port Chalmers late yesterday afternoon for Bluff to complete loading for Sydney. The blasting of the concrete m connection with the lengthening of Otago dock is likely to be finished at. the end of this week. The Karctu is to sail to-day for Bluff to discharge the remainder o' her Australian cargo. She will proceed thence to Melbourne and Sydney. Tho Waipiata. is due at Dunedin to-day from Auckland, via. ports, to discharge and load general cargo. She is to sail to-moi-row for east coast porta and Auckland. The ICahika is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Wellington to load general cargo for Napier and Gisborne. The Calm is due at this port this morning from Bluff to load general cargo for Timaiu, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wangamii. Tho Katcia will load general cargo ml also fruit ex the Tofua at Auckland tomorrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin, Tho Pooltn is due here to-day from Westport to discharge a quantity of coal. She will sail hence for Bluff to complete discharge. The Storm has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Thursday for Timaiu, Lyttelton, Wellington, Pieton and Wanganui. The Shaw-Savill liner Mataron left Wellington on Sunday morning for Southampton and London, via Panama. In addition to passengers, she. is carrying a large shipment of New Zealand products. The Matatnn, which loaded products at various Dominion ports, left Auckland at noon on Sundav for London, via Panama. The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Company s steamer Mahana arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from Wanganui roadstead, where she is now loading. The vessel is fixed to sail from Wellington to-morrow for London, via Panama. The steamer Cowden Law, on route from Galveston, Texas, to Auckland, with a full cargo of sulphur, is reported to have arrived at Colon on March 14, The vessel is due at Auckland about April 16. and will complete discharge at southern ports. The steamer Wirrai .is to leave New York to-morrow for New Zealand ports. She Is scheduled to reach Auckland about April 26 The auxiliary schooner Piri reached Melbourne on March 13 from Greymouth. After unloading her timber cargo the vessel will tal r e explosives to Aflolp.Me. Subsequently she will return to Melbourne to load explosives for Greymouth, Westport, and AucklalAfter loading a full cargo of hardwood at Grafton the auxiliary schooner Huia is barbound in the Clarence River. When tho conditions moderate she will sail for \Vhaiigavei and Auckland. PORT NAPIER DUB TO-DAY. A wireless message received from the captain of the Port Napior states that the vessel will arrive oft the Heads about 10 a.m. to-dav from Port Ketnbla. She will berth at Port Chalmers this afternoon to commence loading for London. THE MELBOURNE STEAMER. The Union Company advises that the Manuka Is timed to leave Melbourne tomorrow morning for Bluff and Dunedin. She Is due here on March 27. and Is scheduled to sail the following day for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Melbourne. o WESTMORELAND DUE TO-MORROW. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the Federal Line steamer Westmoreland is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Liverpool, via northern porta, to discharge a large quantity of Home cargo. She will sail about Friday for New Plymouth, to complete discharge. TAHITI AT SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company reports that tho R.M.S. Tahiti, from Wellington, via Rarotonga and Papeete, arrived at San Francisco last Friday. The vessel is timed to leave tho Californian port to-morrow for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington, and Sydney. She is due at Wellington on April 9. HURUNUI LEAVES LONDON. Cable advice received states that the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Hurunui left London on March 15 with general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Dunedin, and Bluff. The vessel is due at Auckland about April 21, and at Dunedin about April 30. PORT MELBOURNE HOMEWARD BOUND. Cable advice received states that the C. and D. Lino steamer Port Melbourne, en route from Lyttelton to London, sailed from Panama on March 16. The vessel left Lyttelton on February 23. RBMUERA FROM ENGLAND. A wireless message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company from the captain of the Remuora states that the vessel will arrive at Auckland next Sunday afternoon from London and Southampton. The Remuera is bringing a largo number of passngors for New Zealand, and general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. PORT CAROLINE REPORTED. The Commonwealth and Dominion Lino steamer Port Caroline, en route from New Zealand ports to London, is reported to have sailed from Colon on March 14. Tho vessel was despatched from Wanganui roadstead on February IS. NEWBY HALL FROM NEW YORK. Cable advice received states that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Newby Hall sailed from New York on March 7 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Sydney. The vessel resumed her voyage from Newport News on March 10. She is due at Auckland on April 14 and at Dunedin about April 26. TAIROA AT LONDON. A cable message has been received reporting the arrival of tho Tairoa at London last Thursday afternoon from New Zealand. The Tairoa left Napier on February 3. PIAKO FROM NEW YORK. Messrs Turnbull, Martin and Co. adyiso that the steamer Piako was due at Wellington last evening from New York, via Auckland. Tho vessel will proceed later to Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to discharge the remainder of her American cargo. She is due at this port about March 24. SOMERSET AT AUCKLAND. STEAMERS FROM LONDON. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Auckland left London on March 11 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaiu and New Plvr.iouth. The motor ship Fort Dunedin is to leave London on April 4 for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. The motor ship Port Huan is to leave London on June C for Auckland and .Wellington. PHOSPHATE CARGOES. The steamer Gambia River left Ocean Island on March 8 with a phosphate cargo for discharge at Lyttelton and Auckland. She is due at Lyttelton op March 20, and at Auckland a week later. The steamer Kintyra is to leave Ocean Inland this month with 7250 tons of phosphates for New Zealand. The vessel will unload 4500 tons at Auckland and 2750 tons at Wanganui.
GALLIC LEAVES NEW YORK. The Gallic, which left Auckland on February 9 for Now York, Halifax, and West of England ports, is reported in a cable message received, to have sailed from New York on March 13 for Halifax. ANGLO COLUMBIAN LOADING. Under charter to the Scales Line, Ltd., of Wellington, tbo steamer Anglo Columbian arrived lust evening from Napier and was berthed at Port Chalmers to load a largo consignment of wool. Tho vessel has loaded in New Zealand on previous occasions for the Scales Company. She is to sail tomorrow for Dunkirk, Antwerp, Hull, and London, via Panama. Captain D. W. Tho amount of coal (including bunkers', shipped at Newcastle during the week ended February 24, for places beyond tho State was 73,156 tons, of which 50,344 tons represented shipments for Commonwealth and New Zealand ports the remainder being for foreign ports.
