(Received March 18, at 5.5 p.m.) A lire in the old portion of the big London Stores at Bonrke did extensive damage to the lower 'floors. The rapid spread of the flames cut off the office staff of 12 women and men on the third floor, who climbed to safety along a parapet to a veranda. Tho fire was apparently caused by two employees playing with patent cigar lighters in one of the rooms where there was a heap of rubbish.
