ST. CLAIR CARNIVAL.
The chairman of the St. Clair Improvement Association has handed us for publication tho following information regarding the recent carnival. It is unnecessary to contradict the rumour that has been circulated that any of the officials received remuneration for their services.—Revenue, £1747 Is sd; expenditure—Goods for stalls and amusements, £541 10s 7d; advertising, insurance, fireworks, orchestras, band, loud speaker, cartage, signs, and baby show prizes £155 10s 3d; —surplus, £IOSO 7s. — 12.5.28.
