THE PAPAWAI MEETING. OPENED IN FINE WEATHER. (Pee United Press Association.) CARTERTON, February 20. The Papawai rifle meeting was opened this morning under good conditions. ine sun was shining with a steady light, and there was an easterly breeze, which caused no inconvenience. President J. i. Thompson welcomed the Australian teams, Captain R. W. Reseigh acknowledging the welcome. The Australians expressed themselves as very pleased with the onditions and range. Results: Service Match.—F.
