OTAGO AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.

Following the club’s evening fixture on the Caledonian Ground on Saturday evening a meeting of members was held for the purpose of making arrangements for entertaining J. Standen and G. Gray the Australian champion amatemr cyclists, who are to be the guests of the club one evening during their stay, ihe president (Mr J A Johnston) occupied the chair. It was decided that a social evening be hold in the Caledonian Tea Koonis on Thursday evening. A splendid musical programme was drawn up. The executive then decided on the following prizes for the races staged at the club’s first meeting, which showed a comfortable return:—loooyds: First 15a, second 7s 6d. 100yds—First 15s, second 7s fid. Throwing the cricket ball —First 10s, second ss. Pfimary schoolboys’ cycle race: First 7s 6d. second ss, third 2s 6d. Half-mile cycle: First 15s, second 7s fid. One mile cycle: A grade, 15s and 7s fid. One mile cycle: B grade, 15s and 7s fid. Three-mile cycle, 15s and 7s fid. Mr Feichley said that steps should be taken to see that all runners competing . at future meetings staged by the club entered per medium of entry forms -with fees enclosed, and that no runner be allowed to start if he had not done so. The secretary was instructed to communicate with all clubs on this matter. Mr H. Cooper was unanimously elected u an additional member gf the executive.
