THE CHERNIAVSKYS.
Leo, Jan, and Mischel Cherniavsky, still only young men, have been able to cram much experience into their lives during their visits to more than 30 countries. Their travels Lave occupied them for a period of about 20 years. During their last visit to Cape Colony, in South Africa, they volunteered to visit Robin Island, the famous "little isle where lepers have found an asylum. At least 100 lepers had the joy of hearing the music of the Cherniavskys. It was a great ordeal for the artists, but one that they have never regretted, for the tragedy of the island and its inhabitants, who were all lepers, turned itself deep into the hearts of the Russians. These Russian artists are creating sensations everywhere they play, and their advent here is looked forward to with more than usual interest. They will appear here at His Majesty’s Theatre on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday next.
