EAST TAIERI FLOWER SHOW.

The East Taieri flower show, which was hold in Kinmont Hall on Saturday afternoon, under the auspices of the R.W.M.W. of the East Taieri Church, was a pronounced success. The whole floor space of the hall was taken up with tables on which wore a magnificent display of flowers, vegetables, and fancy work. Entries in all classes were numerous and of very line quality. Mr and Mrs E. A, Hamel, ot Dunedin, who kindly acted as judges of the floral, vegetable, and fruit sections, complimented the people on the very beau--7 tiful display of flowers, stating that many 5 of the exhibits were worthy of a place in ! a Dunedin show. Misses M'Leod and Logan judged the needlework section. Dur- , ing the evening Mr W. Allan entertained ' the audience with some gramophone selcc- ' tions. The Rev. A. Watson presented crystal vases as prizes to the winners ol most points in each class in the show, l The following were the awards made: 1 CLASS A (vases provided).
