SAMOAN DEPORTATIONS

MR GURR LEAVES APIA. (Special to Press Association.) (By Radio.) APIA, February 14. Mr Gurr was deported on Saturday to New Zealand.

The failure of Mr Gurr to leave Samoa within the allowed 30 days rendered him liable to arrest, but parole wa s granted on condition that he kept out of Apia and communicated with no natives, and that he left by the Tofua for New Zealand in February. Mr Gurr announced that he was settling in American Samoa, but the American Governor announced that he would not be allowed to land there.
