ST. CLAIR CARNIVAL.

With the object of improving the public bathing accommodation and facilities at St. Clair, the local improvement association has decided to stage a grand seaside carnival on the Esplanade on the evemngs of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 16, 17, and 18 and also on Saturday afternoon. The City Corporation is giving all the necessary backing to this enterprise, and are arranging to transform the Esplanade into a delightful fairyland of lights. Dancing in the open around the rotunda, with lucky dances thrown in, fireworks displays, games, refreshments, etc., will be amongst the many attractions. A monster baby show and a parade of bathing beauties will be held on Saturday .afternoon. All the proceeds will be devoted to the improvement of the existing meagre facilities for the bathing public.
