Speaking at Nevvcastle-on-Tyne Rotary Club, Mr Walter Raine, M.P., expressed the opinion that many questions asked in Parliament at Westminster were merely designed to gain notoriety for the interrogators. As the average cost of questions was £1 each, the country could realise how certain members of Parliament helped to keep up the income tax.
