The monthly meeting of the North-East Valley School Committee was held on Tuesday. The headmaster (Mr H. C. Jones) reported that the school had reopened with a good attendance, the roll number standing at 620. Regarding the proposed establishment of a dental clinic, the department advised that as them were no nurses available during 1928, all having been already allocated, it was not advisable to take any steps in regard to the erection of a room. Accounts amounting to £27 were passed for payment. Mesdames Peart and Elliot were appointed a Visiting Committee for the ensuing month.
