NEW CROYDON AERODROME. PERFECT ARRANGEMENTS. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 31. London will become the foremost airport in the world to-day on the opening of the new Croydon aerodrome. Its most notable feature is a central tower, from which the entire departures and landings will be directed. The arrangements are so perfect that passengers will be able to leave London at 8 o’clock in the morning and return from Paris at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, having had ample time to transact business. Refreshments will be se ved on every machine.—A. and N.Z. Cable. COLONEL LINDBERGH. CONTINUATION OF TOUR. ST. THOMAS, January 31. (Received Feb. 1, at 5.5 Colonel Lindbergh arrived at 4 o’clock this afternoon after flying 1000 miles m 10£ hours over the water from Maracay (Venezuela), via Lesser Antilles—his longest flight since leaving Mexico .City on his tour, which is to end in Havana on February B.—A. and N.Z.
