GOOD TEMPLARY.
The meeting of the Rescue Lodge, No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, was held in the Oddfellows Hall, King Edward street, on Tuesday evening, when Bro. E, J. lies, chief templar, presided, there being a good attendance of members and visitors. Correspondence was received from Bro. T. Honeyman, international secretary, and Bro. O! P-.ice, grand secretary. A strong committee was set up for the purpose of arranging temperance meetings throughout the year. The election of officers, in which there was some keen competition, resulted as follows ; —Chief templar, Bro. D. Holland: vice-templar, Sis. T. Williams; past chief templar, Bro. E. J. lies; secretary, Bro. J. A. Kuich (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. J. Hilton (re-elected); financial secretary, Sir D Baird ire-elected); chaplain, s;s. Woodcock (re-elected); marshal Sis .V. Drav (re-elected); guard, Sis. Cochrane; sentinel, Bro. G. Dongal; pianists. Sisters Morwnod Williams, and Waldren (reelected). ' The vote of thanks to the visitors was responded to by Bro. Chapman (Hope of Dunedin Lodge). The Star of the South Juvenile Temp e met the same evening, when there was a large attendance, Bro. J. Hilton, S.J.W., being in charge.
