CHARGE OF FALSE PRETENCES

SUPPRESSION OF NAME REFUSED. (Pee United Pee-jS Association.) HAMILTON, Januanry 27. Application for the suppression of a name was refused to-day, when Walter Joseph Bunting appeared before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., on a charge of false pretences. The accused is a stock agent, late of Frankton. A remand was granted until February 8, bail being fixed at one personal recognisance of £l5O, and two sureties of £l5O each. The charge preferred against Bunting was that on November 30, 1927, at Tirau, he allegedly obtained 30 heifers and one cow from Frank Rose, by false pretences, representing that he was authorised to purchase the stock by J. M'Cray, of Watugaro. _____
