William George Ogg, who had twice previously been married, was charged in the Police Court with making a false declaration to the registrar for the purpoes of obtaining a marriage certificate. His first wife was dead, and he was separaated from his second wife, and was paying her maintenance. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. PALMERSTON N.. January 27. Corneille Hubert de Mey Dalkemade, occupier of a soldiers’ farm, was charged at the Magistrates Court to-day with attempting to defraud the Crown by selling, without authority, 11 cows, over which the Crown held a bill of sale. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed. ASHBURTON, January 27. At the Magistrate’s Court, Audley Harold Pocock was fined £lO, and deprived of his license till July 1 for being drunk while in the charge of a motor cycle.
