TAWA FLAT DISPUTE.

TRIBUNAL TAKES EVIDENCE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 19. The tribunal arranged in connection with tlje Tawa Flat tunnel dispute between the contractors and the workmen commenced its sitting to-day. Mr L. Page, S.M., presided. In the event of the tribunal failing to reach a definite agreement, both parties are to accept the decision of the chairman. Mr Cook, .n opening the case for the men, said there were three points to be settled —wages, travelling time provision, and the reinstatement of two workers.
