TUAPEKA CRICKET.

The Walker Cup matches were continued last Saturday in ideal weather. Victories were gained by Henot and Miller’s Flat. The position of the clubs is aa follows:—Miller’s Flat 19 points, Heriot 14, Edievale 8, Beaumont 4. The match Beaumont v. Millers hlat was played on the Beaumont ground, and Miller’s Flat won by an innings and 29 runs. The bowling of the Millers Hat team was very effective. Beaumont in the first innings made 26, and in the second innings 45, Hallet (10) and Edgar (19) being the only batsmen to reach double figures. Bowling for Miller’s Flat, Stuart (nine wickets for 10 runs) F. Ferguson (seven for 13), and Lcklion (four for 34) secured the beat averages. Miller’s Flat made 101 for six wickets, Rosauowski (40 not out), Stuart (20), and Eckhoff (12) being the principal scorers. Thompson (two wickets for 21 runs), Wood (one for 15), and Forbes (two for 30) were the best bowlers for Beaumont.
