DUNDAS STREET METHODIST CIRCUIT.

QUARTERLY MEETING. The Dundas Street Methodist Circuit quarterly meeting was held on Tuesday evening, when the Rev. W. H. Hocking presided over a good attendance of officials. The membership returns for the quarter were reported to be 167 senior, 38 junior, and 16 infants Eight new members were nominated and accepted for membership in the church. The balance sheet showed the income for the quarter to be £163 14s 4d, ana the expenditure £154 12s lOd, leaving a credit balance of a very satisfactory nature. . Arrangements were made for holding the annual flower show and harvest festival services during the ensuing quarter. Messrs G. A. Skene and R. Bruce were reappointed circuit stewards, and Miss M. Hale circuit reporter. Mr E. W. Isbister was appointed representative bo the Methodist Conference, to be held in Christchurch during February. A large committee was appointed to set up arrangements for holding the jubilee services of the church towards the end of the present year. The young people’s work was- reported to ! be in a very satisfactory condition. H was resolved to discontinue the Junior Christian Endeavour Society, and to institute a young workshippers’ league in connection'with the morning church .service. It was resolved to hold the next meeting at Ravensbourne on April 16.
