For the senior national scholarship examination (Otago district) the following candidates reached the standard qualification for the senior scholarship: Begg, Alan Thomas (South Otago High School), 1630 marks. Craig, Jacob John (Otago Boys’ High School), 1525. Davidson, Margaret Valerie (Otago Girls’ High School), 1562. Davis, Norman (Otago Boys’ High School), 1662. Elder, Eric Mitchell John (M'Glashan College), 1667. French, Noel Charles Bannerman (Otago Boys High School), 1477. Hosking, Lloyd Lindsay (Waitaki Boys' High Sclrool), 1562. King Meyrick Vincent Bryan (Otago Boys’ High School), 1621. M’Culloch, Jean (Waitaki Girls’ High School), 1576. M’Kenzie, Reda Mary Evans (Columbia College), 1560. Marshall, Alan Francis (Lawrence District High School), 1603. Moller, Lester Francis (Otago Boys’ High School), 1534. Stevenson, Greta (Columbia College), 1649. Trownson, Marv Joyce (Otago Girls’ High School), 1531. Wilson, Freda May (Otago Girls’ High School), 1604.
