(Peb United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 15. The following remit from Maungawbau was adopted at last night’s meeting ot the Auckland Primary Schools’ Association: —“That in view of the Parliamentary Education Committee's recommendation that the Nelson system of Bible reading in schools be extended, the committees be recommended to ascertain the wishes of parents on the subject, and, where possible, to take steps to give effect thereto.” _ HAMILTON, December 15. A nonsuit was entered by Mr Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court against the Standard Oil Company of U.S.A., which sued M D._ Walmslcy, drainage engineer Hamilton, for £376, allegedly due by him as a former partner in the Suisun Dredging Company of California. CHRISTCHURCH, December 15. Mr W. G. Sturgess, of Bromley, has received the following acknowledgment from the Russian wireless station: — “Khabarovsk, Far East USSR, crystal controller, short-wave radio telegraph and broadcasting station RFM. _ Regular transmission 60.12 metres daily, except Wednesday, from 1000 Greenwich mean time.” The Wright-Morgan case was concluded in the Supreme Court to-day, judgment being reserved. The last litigation arises out of a dispute as to the validity of the power of attorney given by one of the beneficiaries by which a deed of compromise was drawn up and acted upon by the trustees in the estate of the late E. G. Wright and the Bank of New Zealand. When the question was raised whether or not Mr W. Nosworthy, one of the trustees, should be called, Sir John Findlay, for the Bank of New Zealand, said he was prepared to admit that Mr Nosworthy had acted prudently and with sound judgment and had acted impartially as between the beneficiaries in the administration of the estate. Mr Nosworthy, in evidence, said he had been a trustee since 1907 or 1908. No question had been raised until Mrs Morgan had commenced litigation.
