EXFORT LICENSES.
DAIE ’ BOARD’S ACTION. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, December 14. The principal business discussed by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board at its meeting to-day was the question of export shipping licenses. The Chairman of the board (Mr W. Grounds) stated that the representations of the New Zerjand Dairy Company and other exporters contesting the validity of the export license conditions, which had come before the board at its meeting _in November, had been fully considered. The hoard’s legal advisers reported that they had carefully reviewed all the representations made, and they saw no reason to depart from their previously expressed opinion regarding the validity of the board's action. In consequence of this, the motion of Mr J. P>. Hine that clauses 6 and 8 of the export license conditions bo rescinded was negatived by the boanl at to-day's meeting. The clauses relate to the declaration required to be made by exporters regarding f.o.b. prices 14 days after shipment and to the board’s power to arrange for audits on behalf of factories.
