Colonel Lindbergh made a good start in the Spirit of St. Louis, though the field was wet and the weather foggy. He carries 350 gallons of petrol, a week’s supply of army rations, a small rifle, and charts. Mexican ’planes plan to meet him at Tampico and escort him to the Ballbuena military field, where he will land before grand stands seating 10,000 persons.
