Lysnar (Gisborne) has trivep notice of his intention to put the following question to the Prime Minister:— /; “ Reverting to the question I recently asked the Prime Minister regarding thfe rumour or suggestion that Messrs Wrightj Stephenson and Co., Ltd., wore being financed by, or on behalf of, one of tlift American meat trust firms, and that they were negotiating for a working interest in one of the local freezing works, I desire further to ask the Prime minister if he is unable definitely and conclusively to ascertain for whom the £701,350 of debentures issued bv Messrs \\ right, Stephenson and Co., Ltd"., are held in various amount by trustees as disclosed by the filed particulars with the registrar of companies, will he see that legislation is passed before the present session ends providing some ntochinery that will compel a trustee who ha* filed particulars with the registrar of companies regarding the debentures he holds in trust to disclose for whom he hold* them? Otherwise it will be impossible properly to deal with the dangers of the operations of the meat trusts m this Uq? minion.” )
