BENEFIT CONCERT.
ENTERTAINMENT AT GEORGE STREET SCHOOL. A concert in aid of the St. John Ambulance Brigade’s competition fund was held in the George Street School Hall last evening. There was ; large attendance, and as a result of the entertainment the brigade’s funds should benefit to a very considerable extent. The programme, which was contributed by members of the Commercial Travellers’ Choir and leading artists in Dunedin, was as follows; Pianoforte solo, ” Yalse Arabesque,’” Miss Kathleen Whelan, A.T.C.L.; baritone, ■’Vanity,” Mr Bert Romeril; soprano, “ You’ve got Your Mother’s Eyes,” Miss Florence Fogarty; bass, “ Bedouin Love Song,” Mr Jack Clark; soprano, “ Lovely Spring,” Miss Rita Holmes; contralto, “ A Request,” Miss Rita Raffils; tenor, “ She is Far From the Land," Mr Dan Fogarty; mouth organ selection—Kaikorai quartet; soprano, ’’ You Will Never Grow Old,” Miss Agnes . Holmes; baritone, “ Still as the Night,” Mr Maurice Cacbcmaille; contralto, ‘ Sink, Sink, Red Sun,” Miss Rita Raffils; baritone, “ Mountains of Mournc,” Mr Bert Romeril ; soprano, “My Prayer,” liss Florence Fogarty; baritone, “ Lighterman Tom,” Mr Fred Brooks; soprano, “ A Birthday,” Miss Rita Holmes; tenor, ” Believe Me if All,” Mr Dan Fogarty; duct, “ Come, Sing to Me,” Miss Agnes Holmes and Mr Maurice Cachemaille; violin solo, “ Ave Maria,” Mr Fred Brooks; humorous items, Mr Arthur Clapp and Mr Allan Botting. Accompanists, Misses Kathleen Whelan and Rita Holmes.
