GENEVA LABOUR CONFERENCE
REPRESENTATION OF DOMINION. FURTHER BRUSH IN THE HOUSE. (From Our Pabliamenxabi REroEXBB.) WELLINGTON, November 27. The question of sending a delegation to attend the International Labour Conference was again raised in the House of Representatives to-night. The Minister of Labour (Mr G. J. Anderson), replying to the discussion, said he doubted whether the expense involved wpuld be warranted. But you surely do not raise the question of expense when the violation of a treaty is concerned? ” suggested the Leader of the Opposition (Mr H. E. Holland) The Minister: No; it is not the violation of a treaty at all. No doubt the trip would be a nice jaunt for Mr Fraser. Mr P. Fraser (Wellington Central): I would not have any chance of going. The Minister: Well, one of your party or one of your, supporters.—(Laughter.) No doubt your new brothers, the Employers’ Association, would also like to send someone.'—(Renewed laughter.) , The Minister added that the question would be considered and the decision would be made known before the next conference.
