The Government’s attitude towards the Polish-Lith.ianian dispute is that it Is prepared to co-operate with the other Powers in a settlement, but does not in tend to take the initiative.—A. and N.Z. Cable. LITHUANIAN GOVERNMENT. REPORTED OVERTHROW. LONDON, November 27. Unconfirmed reports from Riga state that the Valdemara’s Government has been overthrown. —A. and N.Z. Cable. THE SITUATION DANGEROUS. SEVERAL OFFICERS ARRESTED. LONDON, November 27. (Received Nov. 28. at 10.5 p.m.) The Riga correspondent of The Times says that the reports of disorders in Lithuania are not confirmed, but the situation is dangerous. All parties are exhort ing the Premier, M Valdemaras, to form a coalition Government, which is unlikely before the League meets. President Smetona told officers seeking a coalition not to meddle in politics M Valdemaras replied in similar terms, and after this 20 officers were arrested. —The Times.
