It is understood (says the Southland Times) that the sale has been effected of the premises occupied until recently by Messrs W. Lewis and Co., draper*. These premises, consisting of a modern fourstorey building with a frontage tq Esk street, and an older two-storey building with frontages to both Esk and Dee streets, stand upon one of the finest sites in.the town, the value of which must increase enormously in years to come. The property has been purchased by a Christchurch agent on behalf of principals in the same city, and possession will be given in February, 1928. It is reported that the price paid exceeded £35,000.
