IOWA COAL MINES
WAGES DISPUTE SETTLED. VICTORY FOR THE MINERS. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, October 5. The coal mines in lowa have reopened as a result of a settlement of the wage dispute between the operators and the miners. About 9000 miners have returned to work. The settlement was on the basis of the Jacksonville agreement, and means a temporary victory for the mind’s.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
