FOURTEEN* YEARS OF, AGE. The youngest qualified air pilot in the world. Lillian Dawson, ’ a 14-year-old American schoolgirl, arrived at Liverpool a few \yoeks ago. She was chosen by the Pittsburgh Press Club to present wreaths to Mesdamcs Nungesser and Coli. Lillian, who is fair, bluo-eycd, and slim, was looking forward to the prospect of flying over Paris. “ It's 10 years since 1 took up flying,” she said. “ I was just four when father gave me my first flip. I am a member of the Pittsburgh Aero Club, and last year I obtained my pilot’s ecrtificate, but am prevented by law from carrying passengers. “In America a girl cannot obtain a motor-driving license until she is 18. 1 suppose they think there is more room up above.
