WHANGAREI, October 6. diaries Ra 0 and Ernest Harry Ra© were charged to-day’ with stealing 40 boxes of cigarettes, valued at £6O, from the ware house of Irvine Clark, Anzac avenue, Auckland. The accused, who were remanded to appear at Auckland on October ■l4, are well known in Whangarei, where they ran a portable skating rink last winter. . ■ The local launch Rakamn has been commissioned to search for th© missing launch Speedwell. The Rnkanui is fitted with wireless, but so far no report has been received from her. A 15-ycar-old boy, who recently tired of home life, commandeered a bicycle and disappeared. Ho was discovered' yester day in a seaside cottage at Waikaraka, wlier© he was in possession of an air gun, an alarm clock, and a wristlet watch. He will appear before the Juvenile Court to-morrow. , WELLINGTON. October 6. Found guilty of the theft of 6001 b of sheet lead, Archibald West, aged 56, and Edward Clarence Brimfield, alias Watson, aged 36, were each sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. George Leslie Morris, carpenter, aged 30, a third parly Jr, the offence, was remanded till tomorrow for sentence.
