LEAGUE OF NATIONS.

PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE PROPOSED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 50. Proposals for the establishment of a Parliamentary League of Nations Committee were placed before a largelyattended meeting of members of the Legislature by speakers on behalf of the Dominion Council of the Union at Parliament House this morning. The Prime Minister, the members of Cabinet, and the Speakers of both Chambers were present. Sir Janies Allen introduced the speakers, and stressed the worthiness of the object. After Professor Grant and Dr Gibb had addressed the meeting, Sir James Allen suggested that a meeting of members of the Legislature might be hold to consider the formation of a committee. A hearty vote of thanks was .accorded the speakers on the motion of Mr F. J. Rolleston.
