M. SPAHLINGER
REPLY TO NEWSPAPER CHARGES. (Pies# Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, May 1. The Daily Express announces the receipt of a letter from M. Spahlinger, declaring: “Until my letter sent to the Express, giving a complete and detailed reply to the charges made by the Express on the 12th, also further documentary evidence in my rssession, is published without alteration, cannot give an interview.” The Express described the letter as an evasion of last week’s offer, and says that a reasonable summary of M. Spohlinger’s letter was published, but the letter did not contain any prooof that he possesses a cure for consumption.
