As the result of an alleged domestic altercation, Mrs Mary Alward was shot twice in the head and died shortly after being found. Her husband, James Alward, wha taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound in his bead. He is not expected to recover. Ho had been unemployed since the recent building strike. ALWARD SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. BRISBANE, May 1. (Received May 1, at 5.5 p.m.) Alward has succumbed to his injuries. He had been out of employment for some considerable time, and following an altercation with his wife, apparently while in a demented state, he fired the fatal shots.
