- The Kamo arrived here yesterday from ■Westport, via Lyttelton and Oamaru. She Will discharge a quantity of coal and load general cargo to-day, and sail to-night lor Kapler and Gisborne, via porta. The City of Khola sailed on Saturday afternoon for Hobart and Port Plrle to discharge the remainder of her New York .cargo. The Hertford, which has been delayed at Lyttelton owing to bad weather, is now expected at Port Chalmers on Wednesday to continue Homeward loading. The Holmdale was bar-bound at Wanganui on Saturday. The vessel Is now expected at Dunedin on Wednesday morning to load for way ports and Wanganui. . The Katoa, which was delayed at Auckland on Friday owing to heavy rain, was to sail on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She Is due here on Friday. The Oplhl has been fixed to load at Westport about Wednesday for Dunedin. The Calm Is due at Dunedin this morning from Wellington, and Is timed to sail this evening for Tlmanu, Lyttelton, Wellington. Plcton, and Wanganui. The Breeze has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Wednesday for Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, and Wanganui. The Storm is duo at this port on Thursday from Bluff to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Waiotapu left San Francisco on April 124 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on May 20. ' The R.M.S. Tahiti, which left San Francisco on April 20 for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington, and Sydney, is due at Rarotonga to-morrow and Wellington on May 9. A cablegram reports the arrival at Sydney on April 24 of the auxiliary echooner Piri, from Auckland. AT A MART LEAVES LONDON. Cable advice received statea that the Mamari left London on April'27 with general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due at Auckland about June 4, and at Dunedin about June 13. AEAWA FROM LIVERPOOL. The steamer Arawa is due at Auckland about May 7 from Liverpool, via Panama. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She should arrive at this port about May 24 ' SUSSEX LEAVES JAVA, Cabled advice has been received by the TJiiion Company that the Sussex, en route ■from Calcutta, via Rangoon, Penang, and Singapore, cleared a Java port eahy on the morning of April 24 for Townsville. The vessel will then proceed to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. PERSONAL ITEMS. Captain A. J. Charvln, of the Mesaagerles Maritime Line, arrived in Wellington by the Marama on Tuesday last from Sydney. , Captain D. M. Todd, son of Captain D. Todd, of the Waikawa, who has been appointed Junior pilot to the Wellington > Harbour Board, returned to Wellington on Tuesday last from Sydney by the' Malfiira. Mr O. Calvert has relieved Mr D. T. TaylOr as chief engineer of the Waikawa. Mr W. B. Fitzpatrick has been promoted to second, and Mr H. Miller has joined the ship as third engineer. SOMERSET AT POET CHALMERS. The Federal Line steamer Somerset arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon from Napier, and was berthed at the George street wharf to load frozen meat, dairy produce, fruit, and general cargo for London. The vessel will sail about Wednesday for Wellington to complete loading. Captain J. Howel-Price is in command and has associated with him the following officers: —Chief, M"r A. Argell; second. Mr C. Hill; seventh, Mr J. Clark; refrigerating engineers, Messrs F. Wood and S. Broach; wireless operator. Me Howard; chief steward, Mr A. E Hayburn. PORT DENISON FROM LIVERPOOL. An arrival at Dunedin yesterday afternoon was tba Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Denison, from Glasgow and Liverpool, via Colon, Panama, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The vessel was berthed at the Victoria wharf, where the remainder of her Home cargo will be discharged. The cargo was loaded at Glasgow and Liverpool, and the Port Denison sailed from the last-named port on February 26. Boisterous westerly weather was encountered during the first week from port, and again during the last week of the voyage. She reached Colon on March IG, and cleared Balboa tho following day. Seven days later a quartermaster named William Sully died of measles and was buried at sea. The vessel arrived at Auckland on April 9. Captain J, Ferris is in command of the vessel, and ho has associated with him the following officers; —Chief, Mr F. G. Hadlow; Second, Mr G. Lovegrove; third, Mr P. J. Lowe; fourth, Mr L. Ladrv; chief engineer, Mr J. Dunning; second. Mr J. Matheson; third, Mr F. Harris; fourth, Mr C. Jnllian; fifth, Mr J. Keasky; sixth, Mr G. Shields; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr J. Blackic; second, Mr 11. Owen; wireless operators, Messrs A. Bern and P. Morris; chief steward, Mr T. G. Lofts. Dr G. Costello was ship’s surgeon for tbs voyage. The Port Denison will sail about Wednesday for Lyttelton to commence loading for London. She will also load at Wanganui joadatead and Wellington.
PASSENGERS FOR ENGLAND, The C. and D.
