Tho Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew an interval race on Saturday from Ashburton, an airline distance of 149 miles to the winner’s loft. It was an excellent test, as the birds encountered a slight head wind. The winning birds were liberated at 10.20 a.m. and timed in at 2.55 p.m., completing the journey in 4hr 35min.
