NO-LICENSE AREA
ALLEGED SALE OF LIQUOR. (Per United Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, April 50. At the Police Court William James Blackman was charged with keeping liquor for sale in a proclaimed no-license area. Mr A. E. Seaton, who appeared for accused, elected that the case should go before a jury, and after the evidence of some 10 witnesses was taken accused was committed to the Hamilton Suprdmo Court for trial. Bail in self £IOO and two sureties of £SO each was granted.
David Finlay, a carrier, was charged with aiding Blackman in the commission of the offence, and was fined £5 Is and costs (£]+ 10s fid). Security lor appeal was fixed at £ls 15s.
