COUNTRY MAIL SERVICES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—A* tho record for small babies has seeminglv been established, I would initiate tho public into another record-breaking "stunt." We have no record-breaking babies up here, for they are all on the big side, but we are endeavouring to break records ns regards our postal service. For instance our post office is situated five miles from the railway, and during Easter we did not receive a mail from tho 13th to the 20th. Then wo didn’t pet one from the 22nd until the 27th. That, I consider, will break all records for the Southern Hemisphere, or even the Sahara. We bear a good deal about the Postal Department and its quick delivery, but seldom do we hoar a cry from ono. —I am, etc., Not on the Map. Becks, Otago Central, April 28.
